11:00 Festival Site Gates open
11:30  Crewe of the Tradewinds storm the site with a parade and be introduced
12:00  Welcome and Opening Program with the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas and the Royal Bahamas Defense Force Band
12:30 Amy Roberts Primary School Presentation (30 min)
1:00  Pirate Fight Circle and Whip Demonstration in front of the stage (30 min)
1:30 Conch Cracking Contest (30 min)
2:00 Tug of War Championship (30 min)
2:30 Lassido Boys: Bahamian Rake and Scrape Music (one hour)
3:30 Fight Circle with Buccaneer Sword fighting School (30 min) 
4:00 Life as a Pirate and on a ship for all ages   (60 min)
5:30 Royal Bahamas Defense Force Marching Band Parade  (60 min)
6:30  Maypole Plaiting Dance (30 min)
7:00 Pirate Fashion and Sea Shanties Show (30 min)
7:30  Lassido Boys: Bahamian Rake and Scrape Band (45 min)
8:30  Royal Bahamas Defense Force Dance Band (45 min)

12:00 to 5:00 Family Tree Research at Gospel Chapel Education building
1:00 Vertrum Lowe’s Ship Shop Tour (one hour)
Vertrum Lowe’s father, Albert, taught his this craft and he wants to share his talent and passion with you at his work shop located next to Curry’s Food Store
2:00 Albert Lowe Museum:  Green Turtle Style Antique Roadshow (one hour): Bring old treasures for Bob Carr and Alton Lowe to identify
2:30  Joe Albury’s Abaco Dinghy Demonstration.  Located near his booth, Joe’s Studio.  A delightful way to cool off and experience the days of yore. (one hour) 
There will also be a dinghy race at this time.  Sign up with Joe.

  

Festival Site Informational Tent: 
Noon to 5 pm

 

The Family Tree Information Table is open for everyone to inquire about their family roots.  Joy Lowe Jossi, Peter Roberts, Laurie Baker and Chris Farrington  will help with your discoveries.    Schedule appointments here to meet with a Family Tree researcher at the Gospel Chapel Education Building across from the church.

The Royal Bahamian Potcake Rescue Group Table and Display:
Stop by and speak with these special people dedicated to helping our very special Potcakes and Potcats

 

Daytime in the Settlement: 

 

The Captain Roland Roberts Environmental Center:
opposite the Administrator’s Office and Post Office and will be open
for you to see all they do.  Please stop by and discover how the
Richard ‘O Blue’ Jones Bush Medicine Garden has grown this year!


The Albert Lowe Museum
Come discover the new displays, featuring The British Flag that was flown and lowered for the last time on Independence Night 1973 at Port Charlotte, Nassau with Prince Charles and the first Prime Minister of the Bahamas, Sir Lynden Oscar Pindling and then given back to the British High Commissioner and now has been donated to the Museum.  Also on display:  The telephone from William Curry’s Key West Shop, The First Florida Millionaire from Green Turtle Cay.  Plus new Lucayan artifacts.  At 2:00 there will be a Green Turtle Style Antiques Roadshow.  Bring your treasures for Bob Carr and Alton Lowe to identify.
